Banana Bread Recipe
Posted in Recipe's on 01/26/2009 06:19 am by adminYou have to try this banana bread recipe. Its one that I found in Oxygen mag a long time ago, everyone here loves it, its great to have around for a post workout meal. My kids love it hot out of the oven ! :0)
Banana Bread
5 ripe bananas mashed
3/4 cup honey
3/4 cup ground flax seed
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup cottage cheese
2 egg whites
2 cups of wholewheat flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp sea salt
Preheat oven to 350 deg F. Spray a 9by5″ loaf pan with cooking spray.
In a medium bowl, mash bananas, add honey, flaxseed, milk, cottage cheese and egg whites, mix until well blended.
I another bowl whisk together flour, baking soda and salt. Stir this mixture into the wet ingredients until moistened.
Spoon into the loaf pan.
Bake 1 hour 10 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the bread comes out lean.
