Family Time
Posted in Holiday's on 12/28/2008 03:11 pm by adminWe are really enjoying just being home and not having to be rushing from one thing to another. It is so nice to just be chilling and recharging our batteries. We know that as soon as January hits we will be back to the regular schedule of running here and there nearly everyday of the week.
We are huge on family time so we all pick something that we want to do together, yesterday one of the girls chose Sledding, today we are off to the Zoo when it gets dark to have a walk around the zoo lights. I love the fact that my girls choose active things to do as a family, some of what Mal and I do must be rubbing off on them.
Doing a family activity doesn’t mean spending lots of money, in fact we have not spent any money yet, I bought the zoo tickets at the beginning of December. We have a park in our neighbourhood that has an ice rink so we go there lots, we sled, we live near to a Provincial Park so we spend many hours in there exploring the different trails. Just getting outside together and building a fort for a snowball fight is great fun, plus you are making lots of great memories.
Another trip out that we want to do is to drive to a trail that we have walked many times in the Spring and Summer, im interested to see what the trail looks like in the Winter.
I am in the final days before I take my 1st exam, im getting in a couple of hours of studying in everyday. Im feeling pretty good about it, but still nervous !! It will be good to get it out of the way.

I have dropped by a couple of times and didn’t leave a note - but I have been keeping up with you and I liked reading about the day it was “warm” enough to go out - I have go giggle because I am in Texas and that is not warm enough for anything here
Glad you are having such a nice holiday and congrats on winning the challenge
Hope you get all your studying done and still get to have fun with your family - Happy Holidays (((hug)))

That is funny above–the texas comment. I kinda thought the same thing. I cannot imagine it being that cold or being excited because it got to 2 degrees c! You are tough
What kind of test are you taking?

LOL, I guess that it does sound funny, but believe me when the temp outside has been -30, 2 degrees feels awesome :0)
